Hi, thanks for visiting my store, let me introduce myself… I’m a Mum, Granny, dog and cat pet lover, based in Norfolk, UK.
I’m also a mobile Holistic Therapist Practitioner, specialising in Acupressure (including foot & hand massage); Aromatherapy; Indian Head & Face massage; Reiki (hands on & distance); Chakra balancing with crystals; Sound therapy.

I am a full member of The British Council for Complimentary Therapies.

So Holistic Health what is it? What does it mean and what therapies are included?

It essentially means balancing and nourishing the Mind, Body and Spirit/Soul, for optimum health and wellbeing. It focuses on the person as a whole, through a variety of suitable natural treatments to help improve overall vitality. It is safe and can be used instead of or in conjunction with conventional medication and treatments. It can help prevent ailments and or help with recovery, always with natural harmony in mind.

The term “holism” is used to describe a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. The philosopher Socrates stated, “For the part can never be well unless the whole is well.”

I’ve used the tree of life as a symbol to represent Holistic Health here… to thrive it needs water, sunlight and the right environment.. it can’t just survive and thrive on one thing alone and neither can we.

I have always been interested in holistic health from an early age, firstly getting into aromatherapy and producing my own homemade products. Adding a few essential oils to lotions, the bath, hair products, sauna etc using them for myself and children. Then I ventured into Indian head and face message, gaining my qualification in 2001. I used it more as a hobby at this point, working on friends and family. It wasn’t until I moved back to Norfolk from Australia in 2012 and after having my youngest child, I started to think seriously about becoming an holistic therapist.

My working background had been mainly IT, customer service and administration for over 20 years, until I emigrated to Australia. There I had a change of heart about my career. I no longer wanted to be stuck in an office. I felt I had an opportunity to do something completely different that I really cared about, and I wanted to try and make a difference in society. At the time, I was feeling homesick and imagined how it must feel to be older, miles from your birth home and family, with no family support network, isolated and lonely. I looked into working in aged care, went back to college and gained my Certificate 3 in Home & Community Care. I began my new vocation in 2009, visiting clients in their homes enabling them to stay independent for as long as possible. I loved it and my clients, some were from the UK – migrants like me, others from all over the world, Lebanon, India, Spain, Italy, New Zealand and of course Australia. I learned how much people need human contact and the power of touch is so beneficial and healing. It’s a simple thing but really can make a huge difference to someone’s life, psychology and wellbeing.

Whilst in Australia one of my expat friends introduced me to Reiki, a hands on energy healing technique. I found it truly relaxing, dissolving all worries & stress, whilst being non invasive. Once I returned to the UK I learned Reiki for myself, now holding Reiki levels 1 and 2 certificates and attuned in the Usui system of natural healing, a direct lineage from the school of Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder and first master of Reiki.

Apart from offering mobile holistic therapy treatments, I am creating my own range of holistic therapy products, starting with Chakra holistic candles. The first candle to be launched is the Heart Chakra Candle, full of natural ingredients and non toxic. Look out for the promotional post and also updates on new products coming soon!
