Lovely Silver Ankh, made from a vintage 10 pence piece on a black waxed cotton cord.
The Ankh is an Egyptian hieroglyph for “life” or “breath of life and, as the Egyptians believed that one’s earthly journey was only part of an eternal life, the ankh symbolises both mortal existence and the afterlife.
Due to the nature of vintage coins , any blemishes from its life are part of the design.
All my jewellery is hand made by me, using traditional tools, then hand finished again by me.
This makes every piece unique and completely one of a kind. This makes for a truly personal item and you can be safe in the knowledge that no one else has one exactly like it.
A perfect gift to be treasured.
I protect all finished items with Renaissance Microcrystalline Wax Polish, which was developed by the British Museum to protect their artefacts.
