Green Man Bare Copper Bracelet
Approx 8 inches
This does close with a clasp.
The green man is made from recycled copper and then hand sawn out by myself. It has also all been hand soldered by myself.
I have added a slight oxidisation to this, just so it brings out the detailing.
The green man means different things to different people but most commonly he is seen as a symbol of humanity’s relationship with and dependence on nature. Traditionally, the Green Man is seen as a farmer responsible for protecting our fields and for making things grow again after the bleakness of winter.
Bare copper means it’s been left natural. Copper will darken gently and naturally over time but it can be polished back to it’s natural golden colour.
Copper jewellery, such as bracelets and rings, is widely worn for potential therapeutic benefits, primarily to alleviate pain and inflammation associated with arthritis or joint issues. It is suggested that trace amounts of copper are absorbed through the skin, aiding circulation and providing anti-inflammatory effects. While often touted for reducing stiffness and boosting immunity, scientific evidence supporting these claims is limited, suggesting effects may be partly due to a placebo response.
