Hi, My name is Lyndy and I am the owner and designer of Wisteria Wood Crafts, the place for all your crafting and scrap-booking accessories. Let me tell you a little about me. I started crafting in 2005 after designing and creating my own bespoke invitations for my son’s Christening. The minute I walked into the craft shop for the very first time I was hooked. I’ve always been quite arty and creative, so I decided to try my hand at making various greetings cards. I went on to design and create bespoke Wedding and Christening Stationery collections and I was overjoyed when I was contacted from as far away as Australia by a new mother who had seen my collections and wanted to commission me to create her own son’s Christening invitations. Unfortunately, I had to take a break from my business in 2013 to go out to work full time, when my husband was made redundant from his position as Manager of a medium sized shopping centre which fell victim to the recession. I qualified as a Teaching Assistant and spent a few years working with primary school children still keeping my hand in with my crafting and in addition sourcing and creating phonics resources to assist in delivering interventions with small groups of children. I enjoyed my work, however I always felt slightly unfulfilled and realised that I was eager to get back to crafting, so I decided to leave my job and resurrect my crafting business. I enjoy resourcing new materials and accessories and different ideas for new paper craft that I can create and sell in my online shop on MadeMe.
